René is best known for his pioneering work on future preparedness of organizations. He has developed the Future FITness model, which measures the ability of organizations to use foresight to drive innovation and transformation. He is Professor of Strategy in France and Denmark and at EDHEC, one of the Top 5 business schools in France and director of the Chair for Foresight, Innovation and Transformation.

Since 2010, organizations wanted to move from ad hoc foresight projects to build strategic foresight as a strategic capability. In 2014, René decided to team up with Tobias Heger to create a boutique consultancy in Berlin. Rohrbeck Heger helps organizations to build agile strategies, professionalize trend management, build foresight capabilities and drive innovation in new markets. Through Rohrbeck Heger, René works regularly with leading multinational companies, such as Total, Bosch, Tata, Veolia, but also with small and medium sized companies and NGOs like the Asian Development bank.

Change is always about emotional engagement and clarity about purpose. René is regularly invited to talk about the future of strategic management, building strategic foresight and the future of collaborative innovation and strategy.
